What is a Fine Art Giclée?
A fine art giclée (pronounced 'jee - clay' or zhee-clay) is French meaning "to spray" or "to nozzle" A giclée is the term commonly used for what is currently the most advanced digital fine art printmaking technology, using six colors of ink instead of four. There are no dots in this printing process, as in lithographs. Using a continual spray, the printmaking process provides more color accuracy, often making the reproduction indistinguishable from the original painting. Superior acid-free inks and superior acid-free water color paper affect the quality and longevity of this print. This print may also be printed on canvas. Each giclée is individually printed and hand signed.
